Batching Finishing Range Operator
Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for batching in rolls of printed goods to be processed for sewing
Responsibilities:
- Load and start steamer as flags become available
- Batch flags into finishing range for processing
- Must learn to operate both exit and entrance end of finishing range
- Dispose of used paper and process through bailer
- Must maintain a neat and uncluttered workspace
- Must be able to sew strong straight seams and obtain a tow truck license
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Must be able to work with partner or independently as circumstances arise
- Must be able to perform two step math problems and have legible handwriting
- Must be willing to cross train on assignments other than the finishing range
- Required to stand; walk
- Full manual dexterity to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb stairs; balance
- Stoop; kneel
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, demonstrate the ability to batch racked flags
- Specific vision abilities required – close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; dust; heat; cold; odors; humidity
Hours:
- Monday-Friday: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Saturdays as required during busy season)
- Job Type: Full-time
- Expected hours: 40 per week
