Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for the repair, adjustment, and periodic maintenance of the equipment located in the Sewing Departments.

General Purpose:

To support the production efforts of the sewing operation by keeping equipment running efficiently and enhancing safety.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair sewing equipment located within the facility
• Work includes PM’s per a monthly set schedule
• Perform all work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and requirements
• Provide timely feedback on issues that affect safety, quality, and/or productivity
• Keep work area(s) clean, organized, and free from debris, trash and clutter
• Work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide array of manufacturing machinery to include automatic sewing machines, single/double needle straight stitch sewing machines, zig zag machines, tackers, slitters, grommet and label machines.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Speak, read, and write English fluently
• Ability to keep accurate written records
• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• At least one year sewing machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
